2016 Bookish Goals and Resolutions

2016 is here, and there is a lot I want to accomplish! So I looked back on 2015 and while I was generally happy with the year bookwise, there was still a lot that I felt like I could have done that I just didn't. This year I wanted to share some of my bookish goals with you and maybe even do a check in every month to see how well the goals are going. I hope you enjoy and feel free to leave some of your goals in the comments below!

1. Read 100 Books (0/100 books)
So this one is my standby goal every year, I know it's doable and it's just enough of a challenge to keep me on my toes.

2. Review at least 2 books every week (0/52 weeks)
So in the past I've had a hard time getting reviews out every week, sometimes I would go weeks without reviews. This year I want to be a lot more consistent.

3. Finish the First Draft of my Manuscript (0/90,000 words)
I've been working on the same story for years now, constantly restarting when I would have some sort of epiphany about the world. This year I want to just power through and finish the first draft before going back and doing a lot of revising. And unfortunately I had to restore my computer on Christmas and the external hard drive I used to transfer my files corrupted everything so I have to start over once again!

4. Read at least 2 Novellas a Month (0/12 months)
I love novellas, they're fun and quick to read stories and I don't think one a month should be too much of a problem, the only problem would be remembering.

5. Get up to an 80% Feedback Rating on NetGalley (33%/80%)
So I've kind of slacked on my NetGalley reviews which I feel terrible about so this year I'm going to be reviewing a lot of NetGalley books to get up to a more acceptable percentage.

Final Bits: While I have other resolutions like getting more involved in the book blogger community by doing more things like Top Ten Teusday, Waiting on Wednesday, Staking the Shelves, etc. and hosting more giveaways, these are the easiest ones to track month to month. Thanks so much to all my readers and here's to a fantastic 2016!

  1. These look like fantastic goals! I set my my Goodreads goal at 150, but I have no idea why since I've been hovering just over 100 books for the past few years.
